1. Core Privacy Architecture: Zero Data Collection

At yResized, privacy is not an afterthought—it is the foundational architecture of our product. We operate under a strict Zero Data Collection policy.

2. How Client-Side Processing Works

When you drag and drop photos into yResized or upload a folder:

1. Your browser reads the local file using standard HTML5 File APIs (`FileReader` and `createImageBitmap`).
2. Resizing, format conversion (JPEG, PNG, WebP), and EXIF metadata extraction are executed in-memory on your device's CPU/GPU via the HTML5 Canvas API.
3. Temporary preview URLs are generated using `URL.createObjectURL()` which exist only inside your browser's local memory session.
4. Once you close or refresh the browser tab, all temporary memory objects are permanently purged.

3. Local Storage Usage

yResized uses your web browser's `localStorage` for a single purpose: saving your theme preference (System, Light, or Dark mode) under the key `yResized_theme`.

No personal information, file history, or operational logs are saved to `localStorage` or `sessionStorage`.

4. Offline Capabilities & Security

Because yResized runs 100% locally in your web browser, once the web application assets (HTML, CSS, JS fonts) are loaded, yResized can run completely offline without an active internet connection.

This makes yResized completely safe for processing sensitive personal photos, confidential documents, or proprietary business media.

5. Cookies & Third-Party Trackers

yResized uses zero tracking cookies, zero advertising networks, and zero third-party analytics scripts (such as Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel). Your browsing activity remains 100% private.
